Went in for the 10k Service + dodgy wheel issue.
Went in for the 10k service today. Everything was fine and brake pads had only worn 10% . Quite surprised by that. Tyres were fine too, minimal wear. Again, impressed with the service. Gave me a discount on the service, was originally £300 but only paid £210. Got a Lexus complimentary sweet box too yay!
Now onto the discoloured wheel. The lighting was against me and the alloys looked very similiar but the after sales consultant agreed that it was slightly off and greeny. Told me to bring the car in next week and he'd provide a loaner and repaint both wheels on that side to make sure they are the same colour. Will report after that. Hopefully, they have a specific paint colour for the wheels or one sides going to look green and the other titanium!

I would call the corporate and ask to have the odd wheel replaced. Having 2 wheels with different color is not right. What if you need to replace one of those wheels in the future? You would have to have it painted again, or replace 2 wheels.

Ill drop it off next week and keep you updated. Can I ask fora specific loaner? I quite fancy a go in the GS450h F Sport .
As for the wheel itself. They said it wasnt discolouring but they suspect when they tested it prior to handover, the wheel got kerbed and was painted over resulting in the different colour.

I'd call lexus and demand new rim, esp. RX being so new.
PS
I had a wheel repaired and repainted on my LR2 and on inspection it was not exact match to OEM color, but from like 2-3 feet there was no significant difference, repair was done by a local shop thaty specializes in wheel repairs. So if your dealer sends the rim to a shop like that they should be able to do it right

Don't I wish we could get a choice of loaner cars. The GS450h F-Sport sounds sweet. I was eyeing that exact car at the dealer last weekend when i was in for service. Black on black. The dealer's explanation about the color difference sounds plausible. But I have to wonder why they didn't replace the rim. As I understand, refinishing the superchromes is not a simple process. Your rims are darker so let's hope it's an easier fix. I'd ask them to do the one bad rim just in case you're not happy with the results. Good luck.

Well they said they are going to paint the rim themselves and not sending it to a wheel shop. Ill ask them to replace the wheel or paint the defected wheel.
I hope they dont give me a CT200h, really annoying car, least lexus like in my opinion.
