Default Finally Had Time to Wax

Almost 4 yrs on the road now, and getting a little beat up in places, but still shines up half decently.

Is this a picture of an RX450h or a Sienna, you decide...

Nice shot! Fooled my kids with this pic as they didn't realize at first it was a reflection

That's a great shot, what kind of wax did you use?

Actually, I'm not sure it's actually wax. It's "ICE" spray. I've been using ICE for years because it's quick and idiot proof (works on plastic and windows too), which suits me.

I used Nu Finish (Liquid), it dried to haze pretty quickly and came off easily with a textured microfiber towel, the product does live up its claim, it turned out great.

The only thing messy is when you get the product on your hand, it leaves the same sticky feeling just like the bathroom sillicone sealer, I believe the product is also silicone based

This wax was top rated some time ago by Consumer Reports, good stuff.

Default How I spent my holiday weekend

Forget the BBQs and fireworks. The RXh got the ultimate detail inside and out. All told I spent about 28 hours using more products than I care to admit owning. Yes, I turned my 450h into a raging metrosexual, LOL! Unfortunately I didn't take too many pictures but I'll share this one. More to come later.

Hmm... let's see how detailed you are. Take a picture of your wheel wells and post.

Here yo go. It's a few days and miles after the fact so it's not completely clean. Still, no dirt lines from the tires

Impressive Anita I wish my wife had a fraction of your passion towards cars. Female interest in cars is so rare, let alone one who takes care of it like you do.

They do the house, we do the cars. Since my wife has been in a nursing home, my car is cleaner than my house . At least no dust bunnies in it.

At least that was the situation till she lost her cognitive functions, now I keep the house also, just not as well. Women are very capable in that dept, much more so than us.

LOL Jim, the house is another story with me too. Keeping the RXh clean is a blessing and a curse. I grew up in a family that appreciated cars, even a few with various mechanical issues. I had to learn to to take care of them too. Mechanical duties went out the window for the most part when I bought my first RX
