2013 Lexus RX - Color?

Well it's a matter of personal preference of course. I don't much like grey cars and I don't think the RX shape is enhanced by that colour. White's OK and the pearl white can look good in certain lighting, but it can also look like an appliance.
My own car is garnet - I don't know if it goes by that name in the States. It's a red metallic. In the shade it looks deep, almost burgundy but in sunshine it absolutely sparkles. I get a LOT of positive comments.

I agree. A completely personal choice, then to complicate your decision, you'll have to decide on the interior color to match. ;-)
Starfire pearl (white) looks sharp and with some searches you'll find folks here love theirs. My latest RX450h is Nebula Gray Pearl and I'm very happy with it -- a few pictures HERE.
Good luck with your decision.

The starfire pearl is truly amazing. I do tend to go out sometimes just to look at the colour of the car when its sunny and sometimes, even when its raining. It truly POPS!
I thought the grey didnt have the wow factor i was looking for and was just too dull for me.
One thing to bear in mind is that on white you will see a lot of tar spots and rail dust so will probably need more care. However, scratches cannot be seen and swirls neither so its a much better colour to maintain.

I would argue for you to work backwards. Look for a color of interior you prefer as you will notice that most while behind the wheel and not so much the outside of the vehicle. Once you narrow down your choice of interior you can look to see what exterior colors are available.

The red is really not to my taste. To me it looks like an old grandad colour but maybe thats because here in the UK, that shade of red was commonly used on old mens jaguars. starfire pearl ftw!

No, I don't play soccer!
I like both of the colors you mentioned but it's hard to say which one to go for. Some of the things I consider is how popular is the color (don't want to look like everyone else) and how well does it hide dirt. That puts Nebula Gray Pearl at the advantage. But Starfire Pearl with the saddle tan or black leather also looks great.
Here's an old poll on RX colors members have. Starfire Pearl tied for first with Matador Red (now Claret Mica) and Tungsten Pearl (now Silver Lining) as of this moment. Someone may go in there and vote after I post this.
I say go with your gut. It typically doesn't steer you wrong.

If you're thinking about resale, the dealer we bought from told us there was by far the most demand for white and black in the rx. We ended up with the starfire pearl which we're very happy with.

We just got a 2010 RX450h in Truffle Mica and Black interior. If I were to purchase a new one it would be the Fire Agate Pearl and Black interior. I have always liked the darker colors and black interiors. Just my 2 pennies worth.

Our RX350
We have a RX350 AWD with Obsidian Black Exterior and Black Leather Interiors. Looks great !!!
Again, choice of color is something personal to the buyer and you should buy what you like. Lexus does come with quite a few color combinations to choose.
Good Luck with your purchase.....

No right answer to the question about color. I have Starfire Pearl (white). It is an easy color to maintain. I really like a lot of the colors offered and will try a new color on my next Lexus. When it comes to color, the one thing I can't stand are black interiors or interiors that utilize to much black. My recommendation is to start with an interior color YOU like and then see which exterior colors are offered.

Color is a personal preference like most say. It's whatever appeals to you. I'm going with white exterior and all black interior. With tinted windows and a nice set of rims (either gunmetal or dark greyish), the car will look amazing.
