Hi
So I have a 2010 rx350 on lease which I am planning on turning in. I ended up having twins so the car is just too small for me now.
Just curious are the pre-inspections pretty much designed to fail..meaning that is he going to tell me that everything under the sun is wrong so that I will wanna buy the car instead of turning it in...or am i just being paranoid

Depending on the dealer these can just be a formality in order that you are not caught off guard should there be any real issues like mileage overages. Also, remember that you do not need to turn it in to the original Lexus shop you purchased from. Talk to your leasing company, perhaps it is LFA, about your options.

If you end up buying or leasing another Lexus, they will waive all fees or mileage overuse....they wont even look at your car and will usually eat up any damage to the body work if they really want your business, which is usually the case

You can do that with other brand too. I had 3 months left on my last car's lease. The dealer paid all the fees, they also paid for a set of tires and a new key and some bumper scuffs to resale it

That's been my case as well. I've never had a situation where I just brought the vehicle back and walked away - in that case they may have been picky on the car...

I have turned in six RX's and have never had a problem. In fact when I turned them in to the dealer I usually had equity in the car, meaning the market value less lease payoff was greater than $0. The dealer applied this toward the new lease. I am still paying the same payment I started with in 1998.
