I am having trouble using the voice system. The commands never complete.
For example, I say "Dial Number", and the display shows sample numbers. When I try to say the number 1234561234 it won't let me complete the operation.
How do I voice dial a phone number while the car is moving.
Thanks

Without being there with you to observe it's hard to be sure. But I can say you have to 'orate' rather well and up toward the mic above the mirror. Try to speak each word or number distinctly and separately. It's not like have a conversation on the phone but does work once you get the hang of it.

OP, my suggestion is you may want to make an appointment with the Technology Specialist at your dealership -- they are part of sales and are there to help owners use the technology in their cars. Go in, have him/her sit in the RX with you and see what can be done. It won't cost you a penny except for your time.
As Jim suggests, troubleshooting voice commands and why they work or not via the forum isn't easy, and I hate to say, won't likely be very productive. E.g. I never could get voice recognition to work somewhat consistently in my 2006 RX, but hoped my 2013 would be a lot better when I took delivery of it early last year. Unfortunately, I gave up using it for anything except "Go Home" (and that works maybe 50% of the time) after several weeks of trying various changes to the direction I talk, the volume I speak at, how clearly and at what speed I try to enunciate. I always have the windows up, moonroof closed, music off, and fan on Auto (not MAX). Some people have great luck with voice commands, some don't I'm afraid (including me!) with the way voice recognition technology is in our Lexi at the moment. The things I tried though are pretty much the variables you want to attempt as well. GOOD LUCK!
