What do you get with the F-Sport over Standard?
The only things I can tell from the Lexus website is Suspension, Transmission, cosmetics. I'm comparing 350 AWD vs. F-Sport since there's a 6K difference.

The lexus guy who sold me my F sport said that ALL F sports come with blind spot monitoring, parking assist and Nav, unless you go to a lexus dealership and specifically order one without those options. I don't know how accurate this is, though, since he tried to convince me that it didn't come in red or blue, which isn't the case. But from what I gather, if you equip both F sport and non F sport version the same from an options standpoint, the F sport is $2000 more, which accounts for the suspension, transmission, steering wheel and steering wheel tuning, and cosmetics.

The F-Sport adds:
FUNCTIONAL:
8 Speed auto - 26 MPG hwy vs. 24mpg for the 6 speed auto
paddle shifters
19" dark graphite wheels
sport tuned susp w/ lateral dampers
VDIM - Vehicle dynamics integrated management - improves AWD and safety response
Heavy duty alternator and radiator
Transmission cooler
COSMETIC:
unique lower front bumper and grill
Black leather interior - unique to F-Sport
Black headliner
Aluminum pedals
leather steering wheel
Most importantly - You will have a unique version of the best selling Lexus - I have only seen one on the road since January. I will be getting a '14 as my current lease comes due in November.
You can download the catalog from the Lexus site. Salesmen just want to sell what they have and will tell you anything to make a sale.

It weighs around 4300 lbs. A 2 mpg improvement on the HWY is very good.

Nice write up. Thanks. Had to pull it off my options because of the problems installing a tow kit.
There is only a +/= 2500K difference because you can only get the F-Sport pkg if you have the Premium and Comfort pkgs.
