A client of mine just purchased a 2010 RX, loaded with everything. He has wondering how you get the NAV screen to stay on the map while driving. Apparently his doesn't. I have no experience with this model, but was wondering if I could receive some insight on the matter.
Thanks,
Also any more tips for this particular year?

Like many topics you might think to ask, this has been discussed previously on several occasion in one form or another. A quick search of the forums here at CL turned up the following which should indirectly help:

Of course, all this is discussed in full in the Owner's Manual.

The best recommendation for you give to this owner is for them to read the Owner's Manual, roll up their sleeves, and start experimenting with the system. Without hands on experience it would be hard for you to walk anyone through all the features. Each dealership also has a Lexus Technical Specialist who can help owners with pair cellphones, garage door openers, and working through matters such as this.

Its in the settings. I think under General or Navigation detailed settings. It definitely is an option I have 2010 Rx also and 07 IS both have that option. While he/she is their they might as well change the off function. So the nav screen is less cluttered.

Dumb question but is there an advantage or disadvantage to changing the off function ? What are you changing it from or to ? Thanks

Nope just personal preference how much data you want to see. I turned all the "Off function" off because I want more screen real estate. Also if you take off the zoom arrows the zoom button won't work till you push on and the on screen zoom arrows are back on the screen.
