just got a 14RX and thinking about getting the side strips put on. Did you get yours from Lexus and are you happy with their looks? I've been trying to see one in person but have only seen pictures. The dealership here wants $350 installed.

I had the dealer install mine under the purchase price of my RX 350.
I love the ones I have on, but don't agree with the after add-on purchase price you stated.

FYI, the height distance given in the instructions is perfect on protection position.

Bought mine on eBay for $89.00 shipped. New, OEM Lexus part.

If you can ride a bicycle you can install them yourself.

For what its worth, I think ALL vehicle manufactures need to reinstall side guards.

It's the customer that's coming up on the short end repairing dents/dings on the sides of our metal doors, all in the name of increase in gas mileage, (reason I was told by my dealership when I ask why there are none there).

Today I gave Lexi a sponge bath and added a LEXUS badge to the left side of the tail gate. Not sure why Lexus left this off but I think it gives balance to the RX350 on the right side.
Lexi is not here currently so I'll post a pic later.

It tells me that it is older than 2012; I notice whether others have it or not!

Lexus actually started removing the "Lexus" emblem begining 2011+ for all cars in North America. The emblem is still there for other parts of the world.

To the OP:

Side protectors were the first thing I added to my car after purchase. I installed them myself and they're well worth the purchase. Looking at the damage they sustained thus far, i can imagine those could be on the doors instead.
