Help me with this-- I'm a newbie!
Looking for a new rx350. Found the same specks on used leased 2013 rx450 with 15000k private seller, original leaser. (Clean car fax, all MX done)
Price out the door will be very close.
Plan on keeping for a long time--
My thought is to buy the new 350 now, but I know I'll wish I had bought the 450 in five years!
Love to hear your experts take on what to do.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Club Lexus, Beech732.
I guess the big question is what are your driving habits and do you do a lot of city driving?
If your daily travels are long uninterrupted highway rides then you would be better off in the RX350 as you would see little difference in MPG or need for the hybrid. However, if you do a lot of stop-and-go driving, even in the suburbs, then you will see the most benefit of having the hybrid.
Are both vehicles you are looking at AWD?
Both vehicles will last you a long time, so there is no downside I could see to buying a used RX450h and you would have any remaining warranty still available to you. Concern would be that if the seller is the original person leasing the vehicle to make sure you are not just picking up their lease payments in this transaction. You are not clear on that part.

You might want to consider maintenance on your two choices and add that as an variable. As well as possible added parts on the hybrid that will wear with use. Good luck on your choice but with lexus you can't make a bad decision just a want for the next innovation or performance advancement.

I went for the 450 with 15k miles on it instead of the new 350. So far happy with the choice. The hybrid is super quiet and the gas mileage on the 350 is not too good. There are some nice improvements in 2013 that you miss out on but nothing that I would consider to offset the quieter ride and better gas mileage. Ymmv.
