Default Interioir rattles + thunk when stopping

Hi,

Our 1 year old 2013 RX with 7,500 miles has a ridiculous amount of rattles/noise for a car that age. There seems to a rattle coming somewhere from the passenger side B pillar, and also from the passenger seat. I also hear a rattle coming from the back when driving, either rear seat or trunk area. Finally, there is a noticeable thunk when the car comes to a complete stop. It sounds like that is coming somewhere from the back under the car.

This is ridiculous for a premium vehicle of that price. I thought I would buy a solid piece of machinery from Lexus, but this car has more rattles than our 5 year old Toyota RAV4.

What is the best strategy to deal with this? Take it to the dealer and let them figure it out? Or do you need to twist the dealer's arm to bother with that?

Thanks

The rattle in the back is probably a loose tool or such in the carrier back there.

You've got a 10K complimentary service coming up in a couple months. Have them look at it when it's at the dealer to save you a trip. Or just schedule an appt if it has been bothering you. I have a 450h and it has been rattle-free.

Yes, I think you are partially right. The thunk may have been a lose piece in the storage box under the trunk liner. But the rattle is not from there.

Yes, will do. I think the rattle from the right side may actually come from the passenger side mirror.
