I just traded in my 2010 RX350 (FWD) for a CPO 2011 RX450h (AWD). On my RX350, the rearview mirror had the digital compass display, but my RX450h does not --or it isn't working. Isn't the rearview mirror with compass display a standard feature on these models?

Looks like it was optional. Not sure which package. Though, it could just be turned off. Have a look at page 458.

Do (or did) each of your RX have navigation?

And both mirrors have the Auto button --which leads me to believe that it should have the compass feature. And I think the mirror is defective, because I've tried pressing the Auto button and nothing happens.

Seems it was not available in those with the navigation package in 2011.
A lot of features are available as options in the RX 450h, including a heads-up display that transmits speed and other information to a windshield overlay for reduced distractions and a voice-activated navigation system. Changes for 2011 include a removed compass in SUVs with the optional nav system and a 12-volt outlet moved outside of the center console.

If it's checked as working, it should work. If the check mark is missing, your car may not have the feature.
Hope this helps.

Doing a search, I found this old thread . It appears that Lexus dropped the compass in the mirror on 2011s with nav. LeighRX450, can you confirm whether you have nav?
