Default Call a <name> function

I press the talk button and it brings up the voice menu which shows "Call name"

However if i then say "Call Jim"

It doesn't call Jim as you expect it, it says "you want phone?" you say yes, it goes to phone and you have to say "Call Jim" again.

I don't understand why it shows the call name function on the first screen but then doesn't work.
The first screen should therefore show "Go to phone" not "Call <name>" imo.

Anyone agree or am i missing something?

I could not get the Lexus voice command to work properly. Never did.
My android voice works most of the time.

Which brings up a question for 2014, does Siri Eyes Free require an iPhone, or does it go through the data on any device?

at the dealer they said iPhone only, but who knows..

I've had this car a week, only drove it twice, since the blizzards and -20 temps here in Chicago, so I don't really know everything this car can do!

I had a $99 handsfree device that worked like we would wan the Lexus to. If you had an android connect and you pressed the button, it initiated Google Search (which does a lot fo the same Siri things).. If you had an iphone connected and pressed the button, it pulled up Siri.

If the $99 device can do this simple thing, you would think Lexus could do it. They can with just a programming change. It doesn't require special hardware...

For now, the Siri-like functionality is only available with an iPhone.

Are you saying it works from the first screen for you?. Im on 4.4.2 but that shouldnt make any difference to this function.
