Default Backup parking sensor question...

Hoping someone here can chime in... I'm looking to install the Curt hitch (13143) and add either the GoRhino 360PS or Black Horse rear bumper attachment but was told that it might effect the back up sensors -Anyone know for sure if indeed I will have issue/problems with sensors going off?? Plz advise... thx!!

What is the purpose of the bamper step? if for protection only, then get a rubber cover for the hitch openinjg, and install step when RX is parked. I use this "method" when parallel parking in NYC, except I insert a hitch ball mount after i parked.

I've heard the same. Which is why I opted not to install the parking sensors. The camera works much better (for me) to parallel park.

But to your original question, does stand to reason that if the sensors are there to detect objects close to vehicle and you put an object (bumper guard) permanent in front of sensor, something is going to have to give.

Never really saw the point of the hit bumper stops or ball mount. Sure it protects the middle of the bumper but the corners are going to get dinged to hell from people who pull out too soon before they have space to clear.

m1964, if I drove the vehicle on regular basis then I might consider this option but knowing my wife she will NEVER remember to do it which is why I wouldn't even consider the rubber (bumper bully) flaps and we know all it takes is that 1 time for her to forget....

op44, I totally agree the corners are the prime spots in getting scuffs but figure with something fixed & protruding out of the center enough that it just might help make the driver pull out a lil extra carefully?!?!!??!

Guess I will have to find a local shop that carries these hitch attachments to test its effects on my backup sensors.... Wish me luck will update wit results soon
