Default Consumer Reports Lexus Review

Does anyone have access to this new review? In the Seattle Times this morning they trunkated the review to say that Luxury cars did well, with Lexus scoring overall 79 out of 100. But didn't say what model, or any real info how they derived that number. Anyone have access to the full report? (specifically for Lexus, and even better for '14 RX)

Consumer Reports last tested the 2010 model. I think, but am not certain, that they test cars after major refreshes and probably update reviews slightly each year. The "2014 RX" review page says that the last tested 450h was "2010 450h 4-door SUV AWD, 3.5-liter V6 hybrid, CVT" and that the review applies to the current model year. RX 350 test was also the 2010 model.

The RX 350 was rated at 79 and the RX 450h at 88. Both are in CU's "Luxury SUV" category and the maximum rating for any vehicle in the category this year is 88.

If the Seattle Times review is online, can you give me the URL? I looked online, but could not find a review (and we are no longer in the Seattle area, so cannot look it up in the paper).

Here's the public summary from CU (I can't quote the entire article from their subscriber only page):

The RX is a refined, quiet, and plush SUV. It rides comfortably and has a very well-finished interior. But handling is lackluster, and the steering gives little feedback. Emergency handling is ultimately secure. The 3.5-liter V6 provides strong acceleration and a commendable 21 mpg overall. The RX 450h hybrid got an impressive 26 mpg overall. The optional navigation system includes a mouse-like controller atop the console; it maneuvers through simple menus and gives tactile feedback, but ordinary tasks take too much attention and the driver's eyes from the road. The rear seat is roomy, but the sloped styling impairs rear visibility and cargo volume.
I have a new 2014 RX 450h and agree with CU's summary especially about handling, steering, and the mouse taking too much attention. I'm getting about 29.5 mpg on my first two tanks of gas for general driving in Tucson area.

Looks like Seattle Times hasn't posted the article from today's paper yet. I'll post it when they do, but gernerally, looks like you (Seeker4) have the actual results from the last time they really reviewed the model. I don't always agree with CR, but in this case, their review seems pretty spot on..
