"Lexus recommends a tire rotation to be front to back only, no cross rotation of the tires. Unfortunately most places automatically want to cross rotate them....just be on your toes and tell them what you want." Evitzee
Back to American Tire today. Forgot to request same-side rotation. You are right. Owner's manual says same-side rotation. Upon returning my keys, I asked about same-side rotation and he said they move the fronts straight to the rear and cross-rotate the rears to the front. DANG! By this time I'd had enough. This is what you get for free, I guess. No free coffee available today. I bought the boys in the back a box of home-made cookies as a thank you for all the work they did for free. Hope this translates to good parking karma. Ray A.

Unfortunately, as the collective that is CL has seen over the years there are some dealer who have a different idea of what qualifies as CPO than other dealers or even Lexus itself. There are also dealerships who will sell a "certified" vehicle inferring it is CPO when it is not. Dealer certified, yes. Just not Lexus CPO. Should be as raylor4 described the condition of his CPO vehicle purchase.

raylor4,
Just curious, who is your advisor in Roseville? I used to think Athena was great, until recently she gave an attitude regarding my AC/Heater issue (that's been an ongoing issue).

We purchased a 2013 RX350 and 2008 LS460 this week and received 24 months / 24,000 miles of free oil changes (filter, etc.) / tire rotations. Is this not part of every Lexus CPO purchase?

Athena was my first contact. She is very nice. She addressed my initial concerns a week after purchase of '11 RX CPO. I was concerned about engine braking, tech said everything OK. I learned from this forum to downshift more if engine braking isn't enough. I asked about the accelerator being too touchy. Tech said nothing wrong with it. I guess my foot was too quick. The center console doesn't open all he way. Awkward to get into it. Tech says it's normal. The air bag light seemed too bright to me, but they said there's no adjustment. Got a loaner for all this. I was very favorably impressed.
Second contact was Matt. He seemed to be in a hurry and did not explain the difference between a 5,000 mile service and a free oil change. I got the oil changed, the engine ran much smoother. Had a loaner, but didn't need it. Got a nice wash. Got an online survey and an email asking me to evaluate Matt. I responded. No reply.
Third contact was Brent. He was the one who bent over backwards to help me with the broken lug nut key, replaced for free, the over-torqued locking lug nuts, broke 'em loose, replaced with standard lug nuts, but couldn't rotate the tires for free. I did not ask what the cost would have been.
Athena was out the days I was in.
Over all, I like the service at Lexus of Roseville, but we gotta keep in mind that the service advisors are actually salesmen and I think they are on commission, so they may avoid free repairs, unless justified.
This is the first dealership where I'm on a first name basis with the sales department, Jerry & Chris. I like chatting with them while waiting for my "red rocket".
Hope this helps.

Congratulations!
Maybe they included that nice freebee because you purchased two cars.
Your deal was not like our CPO purchase. One free oil change is all that was included with my CPO warranty. This is not the same as a free 35,000 mile service, I found out.
Had I purchased the EXTENDED warranty, I'm sure there would have been more freebies, but we did not buy the extended CPO warranty. Too expensive, plus the finance guy had attitude. We walked out and went thru the financial process the next morning with a much nicer guy.
Hope this helps.

PS For those on their first rodeo, (HA HA) CPO means Certified Pre-Owned.
