can any rx owner share their experience with opticoat ?
I am thinking of having opticoat pro, the quote was $500 including decontamination, coating the paint and glasses, plus $ 200 for a lifetime warranty ( optional), wont i spend the same amount if i have it waxed professionally every 4 or 6 months? any feedback ? are you satisfied with it? thanks

567paul, welcome to CL. Have you searched the Automotive Care and Detailing forum? There are dozens of reviews on Opticoat in there. And you can get an opinion on price and/or recommendation on detailers.

I put OptiCoat 2.0 on both my RX and my IS, and I love it. Really can't say enough good things about it.
I have noticed that it helps keep my cars cleaner between washes, eliminates my need to wax, and offers more paint protection than wax does.
As Anita pointed out, there is some good information on the detailing forum about OptiCoat and other available coatings. So much good information out there.
