Good question. Is it possible that you are confused by the blank plug that is in the receptacle under the sill. I just got mine this afternoon and I don't need any special adapters. It plugged right in.
The problem I have is that I can't get the new illuminated sill to lay down flat. The four prongs do not seem interested in going into the sockets in the floor. The clips on the inside connect just fine, it's those darn prongs that have me stymied. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Ah, now I understand. I have no idea. They are definitely an unusual connector. Your sills look nice, especially since they come with one for all four doors - like our former 2004 RX had. Is there power for the rear sills or do you have to do a custom wiring job to accommodate those?
As for my problem with the OEM sills, I had a "duh" moment. My problem is resolved. The new sills come with new clips, yet the old clips remain down in the metal when the sill is pulled up. Those have to be removed, or the old ones pried out of the metal beneath the sill. Those in the metal are really in tight, so I plan to remove the ones from the new sills when I get back to this little project tomorrow.

That makes sense now. I don't think Lexus sells it separately but you can try. Otherwise an installer should have something like that. I'd change both plugs because they're a PITA to disconnect. And they probably have to be modified anyway since there's no rear illuminated sill. Haven't checked for a plug though. Please post pics when you get them installed.

Hmm is this the one you bought?

I think that fits the older gen RX, not 3rd gen one? no?

Yes. That what I bought. But they don't feet at all. They are not from RX350. I have to do some modification, actually small one feet almost without any modification. I will install it tomorrow and post some pictures.

even though the illuminated door sills from lexus are expensive, its just plug and play. No fussing around. I looked into my 2013 lexus rx350 and removed the front door sill. There is a connector there. Can someone with a rx450h post the blue lighted oem illuminated door sill?
I want to compare the white versus the blue.
thanks,
Ken
