Owned a First, second and now after a 3rd Gen
Had a 1999 rx300 had 170k no major issues except for tachometer and speed indicator electronic problem fixed under warranty. Also had to come out of pocket on struts same as my 2004 rx330. We have a RX330 with 185k miles and had struts, control arm bushings fail no other major problems. Dealer will give $8k for trade.
Is the rx350 3rd gen as reliable? We are looking a t a 2010-2012. Our rx330 was AWD but didn't really need it in the SW usa.

The pursuit of F
If these top reliability awards are any indication... There are MANY more awards from other automotive sources and from past years, but I have to be concise or this response will be a too long

I remember my 99 RX only have one problem. The gas gauge was inaccurate and the whole instrument cluster was replaced. My 04 RX330 had an air suspension issue I paid out of pocket and the pesky transmission behavior which I had reprogrammed per TSB. I think so far my 3rd gen RX has been the most "unreliable." Still pretty good vehicle, just not perfect. Nothing that has left me stranded or with big bills since it is under warranty, but I had rear struts replaced two weeks ago but this suspension squeak is still there. Also have a steering rack noise which needs to be addressed.

No, I don't play soccer!
bigdog100, the 3RX is very good IMO. I know previous gens have had certain issues. Maybe rattles for this one. Struts, a few cases. But we have a few threads on fixes for the rattles and the replacement struts were covered under warranty. The only problems I've experienced in 4+ years was a 'defective' rear emblem and an issue with remote start specific to 2010s. Both were fixed no charge and obviously didn't leave me stranded. Maybe just a little cold. I think it's the best RX I've owned yet and I've had each gen, first year production, just like you.
