I listen to AM radio for traffic reports and local news. It constantly fades between HD and normal, and that is very annoying.

If I turn off HD, it automatically returns to HD if I listen to a text message, take a phone call, or change the radio station.

Is there anyway to turn off HD and keep it off, even if it is for short trips?

I don't have an answer and feeling a bit dumb but what is "HD"?

the station sounds better and there are ADDED information on your screen like artist name, song etc

under settings
you can choose HD or analog.
choose analog

i'll try to do it tonight to give you a better step by step instructions

Thanks Mark. I was able to find in by going to the main menu and then to audio settings. Previously I was looking under the settings from the radio.
