I could be wrong (just ask my wife), but my research shows the 400h water pump is driven by the Timing Belt. The 450h water pump is driven by a ribbed belt. (not much serpentine action as this belt appears to only go around the crank,water pump, and a tensioner).

That would make it a lot easier to replace than having to remove the timing chain cover!

I'll have to check under the hood today. May even end up replacing it at 100k miles if it's rubber!

Yup. Same belt as in the OP's photos.
