Default RX AWD or F-Sport?

Hello everyone new here. I am considering leasing a RX, but unable to decide which one to go with RX AWD or F-sport. Any recommendation, pricing isn't the issue, is it worth extra $2500 vs AWD with nav?

Thanks

With F you get a 8 speed transmission and slightly better MPG. Positive.
F is a firmer (some say harsh) ride. Personal subjective preference.

Don't all US F Sports come with AWD?

I would just drive both, as they each offer a somewhat unique driving experience. We did like the F Sport, but did not like the dark interior (black headliner) and that was enough to sway us away from it.

Default Rx 350

Take a look at this URL.......... I also was turned off by the "Black" headliner. I got the Saddle seats on the RX 350 AWD and love it. I choose "Claret Mica" this time and like it better than my previous "White" or "Blue" Rx350s....

You'll want the F-Sport if any (or a combination) of these characteristics matter to you:

1. additional panache with the F-Sport sub-brand.
2. rarity in the RX world (only 10% of RX sales) if you care to be a little different.
3. a more engaging drive thanks to near-flat cornering from its performance-tuned suspension, 8-speed tranny, and steering paddle shifters.
4. a tick quicker and fuel efficient over the regular RX350 AWD.
5. sportier styling thanks to its graphite 19" wheels and full-spindle mesh grill sport bumper.
6. exclusive Garnet Red choice of interior color.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Hehe, so to answer your question, the F-Sport was definitely worth it for me for the extra couple grand due to factors 1-5 above.

^^We just picked up an F-Sport this past weekend, and this just about sums up why we chose the F-Sport.

I was actually shocked at the good balance between ride and handling the F-Sport offers.

Congrats JT4! I saw your post in the F-SPort thread. Looks great. The red interior is great to see and very rare. And the flatter cornering is nice isn't it?

Thanks again..

Yes, the handling is much better than both me and my wife expected.. Of course the F-Sport rides a little rougher than a regular RX, but as I said in a previous post, IMO the tradeoff between ride and handling is very good.. I will always sacrifice a little comfort for more grip, but that's just me.

In no way do I think the F-Sport rides harsh, but since I drive a CTS-V I figured maybe I was used to a little rougher ride over a standard suspension. That is why it was very important for me to get me wife's opinion on the F-Sport.

Since she is coming from a 2012 ML350 I thought that maybe she would find the F-Sport's ride rough, especially since most of her driving is city driving, and she will be driving this everyday

So when she told me she thought the F-Sport rode great I knew it was a go.. She's been driving it for a week now and she is thrilled.

It will get a little rougher in freezing temps as with most cars but as you said, it's a fair trade in comfort for the flatter cornering. My wife loves it too as it's mostly her daily driver.

If u live in the snowbelt, the AWD is needed. Otherwise, it's a matter of preference.

The F sport RX 350 only comes in all wheel drive. They dont come in 2wd. Its worth the extra money you will love it!
