Climate control
IWhen driving home last night the wind was howling like crazy. Outside temp was 47 and I had the car set to 70 in auto. Every now and then we would feel cold air blowing out of the vents. I figured this was due to the very windy conditions. I had the re circulation button on. A good thing was a lot of cars made" surprise"
lane changes the rx was like a rock though.

No, I don't play soccer!
hovbuild, the same thing happened to me on Christmas. The temperature was probably close to 50 outside but wicked winds made it feel like the 30s. I had it in auto at around 72 degrees. Cool but not A/C cold air was blowing through the middle dash vents midway through the hour long drive. Now i didn't notice whether it was on recirculate or not. Usually it is. The auto climate control system selects which vents the air comes out of depending on temperature settings (i.e. heat to floor vents, A/C to upper vents). The cool air probably came on to maintain it like txes said. Very convenient I must say. You can close or redirect the vents. That's what I'll do if I don't want to be blasted by air.
