My '15 has a pocket in the same location as our '09 did; in the overhead console. However, it's not as well lined as before and the glasses do bump around more making noise.
Just got my wife a new 15 and I thought there was a compartment up there but all I see is the button that calls emergency service. How do you open it? Manual seems useless in this topic.
Thks

rwsinky, congrats on the RX. There is no overhead storage area. Lexus removed it for Safety Connect (aka the button) back in August 2009. This thread was started to discuss alternate places to put sunglasses. Now a few early 3RXs have it. But they don't have the Safety Connect. The sunglass holder returns on the '16 RX.
My wife and I just purchased a 2015 RX350. She can't find any place to store her sunglasses in the car when she is not wearing them. She's a bit jealous because my Tundra has 3 overhead compartments that hold glasses. Any helpful suggestions are appreciated!

I posted kind of the same thing a few weeks ago. I was wondering if the "SOS" button could be swapped out for the sunglass holder I thought I'd seen on other models without the emergency stuff. Besides being told I was an idiot for not wanting the Enform service the general opinion was to put them in either cup holders, console, or clip-on visor holders like these: https://smile.amazon.com/Allure-Vehi...nglass+holders

I agree. I don't really care about the Enform service and would much prefer a place to store the sunglasses. My wife tried a holder similar to the second link above and it hung down too low from the visor. She returned it.

For what it's worth, I use the first link but I only have magnetic clip-0ns rather than a full set of glasses. It just came to me that the empty space under the console might be useful with the proper container fastened down.
I have a big no no about food and drinks in the vehicle. I am seriously thinking of removing the drink divider in the center console and use that to stow the sunglasses.
I have missed the sunglasses compartment for some time, but now I don't need any: my glasses are fitted with the latest generation of photochromic lens, which dim enough even I am into the car. A a bit expensive, but very cool and effective. Recommended...
Has anyone lined the door pockets with felt or rubber or alcantara fabric to keep sunglasses & stuff from rattling around while driving?
I know there is a company "CUPHOLDERHERO" that makes custom sized ones for specific vehicles, but not for Lexus. Anybody know of a company that makes these for Lexus? Thx!
