2010 RX350 time to replace battery?
Hello, it's been about 3-4 years (CPO) since I purchased my vehicle and had several questions.
1) How much should I expect to pay for a transmission flush?
2) Any car battery recommendations? Any amazon.com links would be helpful.
3) Anti-corrosion fiber washers recommended or waste of money?

No, I don't play soccer!
kangpin, take a look at this thread about transmission fluid change/flush. Is the battery replacement a preventive measure or do you actually need one? I'm still on the original at 5+ years. Maybe someone else can make a recommendations on brand and anti-corrosion fiber washers. I've only had to change the battery once in 17 years in all of my RXs. Didn't pay for it either.

i like the Walmart Everstart Maxx series. 5 year warranty 3 year free replacement. Its another rebranded Johnson Controls battery like other notable brands like Interstate, Sears Die Hard, Duralast, etc..
Any issues, you can go to any Walmart around the country to pro-rate/replace which makes it convenient.
Anti-corrosion fiber washers cost as much as a cup of Starbucks. Some say they work. I use CRC battery terminal protector spray. A good heavy all purpose grease will also protect your terminals.

Much anticipated life of the battery depends on the climate in which you live. Our '10 still has the OEM battery in it & working well. I expect replace it before next Winter regardless. Easier than getting the call during a -35 C cold snap !
I've never used anything other than Vaseline on battery posts. Apply a small amount on the post before attaching the cables. Apply a small dab on top of the post when done.

Now that I've jinxed myself, my battery is probably dying as we speak
