Hi guy I have Standard 19" wheels with 235 35 19 on them
I have purchased some 20" 8.5 ET32 I thought about putting 255 45 20 all round as this is the closest match to the standard size to keep the over all diameter the same but was thinking of wider rears may be 285 40 20 What do you guys think has anyone got a better suggestion ?
I find the standard setup a bit to soft and not sporty feel enough I have the air suspension so I can lower it but even then it's a bit bouncy
Ultimately I'm looking for a set up to fill the fender to look beefy improve the ride / handling but not to rub the fender or to stick out past the fender
Your input is welcomed & appreciated

If you go bigger in rear you cannot rotate your tires. Lower sidewalls are more prone to failure from hitting potholes etc.
If you want to fill the wheel well, get some H&R wheel spacers, the 20mm size, that is what I have and my 19x8 wheels with 255-50-19 tires fill the wheel wells and the wider track helps with the overall handling and steering. There is a thread on wheel spacers. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...l-spacers.html

Did you use one of the tire size calculators http://www.tire-size-calculator.info/

this one shows a drawing so you can see if your tires & wheels will clear the struts etc.

I don't think there is a need for spacers. I have 19x8.5 inch wheels on my RX with 245/55r19 tires and it fills the wheel well very well. Spacers may get you into trouble too with insurance companies if you get in a wreck (I have heard this has happened). Anyway, you could go 20x8 or 20x8.5 with either 255/45r20s (the closest match) or 245/50r20s.

Tire selection will make a large difference in how the vehicle handles and rides. The correct tire can improve steering and handling while maintaining a decent ride. The wrong tire will make you hate the vehicle.
I suggest you read reviews and testing at Tire Rack for 255-45-20 tires.
