Default Lower control arm bushings

Lower control arm bushings on my 2010 RX450h (73K miles) are cracked (I am attaching 2 photos: driver and passenger sides). My local dealer (Lexus of Monterey) does not see any problem. Further, they tell me if there were a problem, bushings would not be covered by the warranty. The vehicle is under extended CERTIFIED PLATINUM warranty from Lexus Financial Services till Jan 2020 (or 125K miles). The vehicle was CPO.

Do these bushings require replacement? If so, should they be covered? As far as I understand lower control arms are covered, but they may tell me that bushings have failed as a result of normal wear.

Sure looks like you need new ones. Should be treated as an integral part of LCAs, as bushings are not sold or replaced separately. As far as you're concerned, LCAs have failed.

Go to another dealer or ask for the Lexus zone representative to inspect your vehicle.
