Unfortunately, I have. RX got rear ended last Friday night at a merge onto freeway. Damage looks worse than yours though. Estimate came out to be $6993.86. A good body shop will be able to tell you how much it would all cost.
Had it replaced earlier this year too because of a dimple on one corner with no other damage totaling to $1437.34 for OEM bumper and paint. If it's just your bumper and the stuff is fine behind it and mounting clips to the lamp is fine as well, then maybe it will be around that range
ThChinaman - We had similar damage to our '11RX and the total OTD was about the same.
JRamos - I'd say the $1,400 ball park figure is about right for the bumper repair. If you were rear-ended, there should be no cost to you, provided you are insured. Your insurance company will go after the other guy, assuming it was not a hit & run.

We had our RX repaired a few months ago. Total cost was close to $1500. Don't settle for nothing less than a brand new OEM bumper. If you have to pay a few extra dollars, just do it. An aftermarket or reconditioned OEM will not match the black textured panels around the car. Also, make sure the body shop guarantee's their work.
I added this piece to the car after it was repaired to help deter tailgaters.

Great point. The right shop is key here because many will go with non-oem and sometimes even claim that they are using OEM so choose wisely,. Don't trust everything the insurance adjuster and shop are doing - stay involved. If you need any help feel free to PM or email: michael@zeygerinsurance.com. Best of luck
Wouldn't this piece in addition rip through bolts the bottom of your car instead? :/
It's too low to prevent upper damage anyway.
The piece utilizes rubber springs to absorb the impact (or reduce the crash pulse).
It may not protect you from 100% of the vehicles on the road. However, it's at a perfect height to provide protection from several sedans, coupes, etc.
