Navigation Quit = No Radio, No Backup Camera! (‘14 RX350)
The navigation system just quit in our 2011 RX350 with 90,000km on it. If it was just the Nav, it'd be fine, but you also lose: all audio, backup camera, temperature/climate control, and navigation. It really sucks that so many other things are linked to this.
I bet it's going to cost a fistful of money to fix it and I think we are out of warranty. Is there a reset procedure I could try? Some sort of magic combination of buttons held that would reset it?
Right now, it displays the Lexus logo with a couple of static lines, then there's a click that might be a relay and might be something coming through the speakers, then the screen goes a solid color (sometimes blue, red, green) and then blank. It repeats this sequence.
These cars seems SUPER common, so I'm thinking about sourcing a used system rather than a new or refurbished one from the dealer. Can anyone think of other options? How do aftermarket systems tie in with all these other features?
Thanks for your help.

The navigation system just quit in my 2014 RX350 with 98000km on it. If it was just the Nav, it'd be fine, but I also lose: all audio, backup camera, Bluetooth temperature/climate control, and navigation. It really sucks that so many other things are linked to this.
When my navigation crashed on Oct 23, 2019 I was under warranty. My warranty expired on Oct 28, 2019. I took the car to the dealership. They told me that I need to replace the head unit. and they told me that the extra warranty didn’t cover that component.
I told them that the navigation crashed. They just need to reset the navigation however the dealership told me that they are not sure if they can reset it.
i was wondering how you fixed your 2011 RX350 Navigation issue? Are you able to share your experience?
Thanks for your help

(All in Canadian dollars)
Five hours of labour for $775 plus a new hard drive for $1440 plus 5% tax and it was done. Running fine ever since.
Because of the issues with initial diagnosis, they gave me a "sweet deal" and discounted $443.
All in and dust settled, it was $1,861
As a small added bonus, I was able to force them to update my Nav maps to the latest level because the new unit came with a 2011 level of useless inaccuracy. It took another trip back to the dealer for this and they tried to soak me for an imaginary wheel alignment because I was in the for a free service.
