Squealing sound. 2013 RX 350
I have been noticing a squealing sound that I believe is coming from the rear brakes. I only hear this when I back up form the garage and apply the brakes. This happens mostly when the weather is cold, and only when I first back from the garage. By the way, I never hear this sound when we are in our place in Florida for the winter. We are presently in NC. This sound can be loud at times. Took it to two different dealers, but they could not hear anything. Of course this only happens when I first drive the car, so no wonder they can not hear it. I have been reading about it, and it seems many people have had the same problem. Some say it is the brake pads, the rotor, etc., Has anyone here had the same problem? I do not know what to do. Never had anything like this with any other car.
Thanks

Squealing brakes
[QUOTE=cquence;9184418]Certain brake pads need to warm up and do squeal on cold braking. Try looking into a different brand with a low operating temperature - usually semi-metallic pads.[/QUO
Took the car to the Greenville SC dealer. As I expected the mechanic did not hear anything. This only happened on reverse on cold starts. Left the car at the dealer overnight, and the next morning they heard the noise loud and clear. As a matter of fact, the mechanic said the noise was "repulsive". They changed the front pads and rotors (even thought they looked fine) at no cost to us. Finally the noise is gone!
