looking for place to tap into full-time electric/hatch trunk lid
hi all
well I've been lurking around for a while and have search the archives with no luck. I'm going to install a full-time rearview camera and monitor in our 450H. Thinking of using the license plate mount for the camera so I need a place to tap into an electrical a line that is hot whenever the car is running. For the monitor I'm planning on using a 12 V cigarette adapter for juice. How does this sound? can anyone tell me the easiest place to tap into a Hot line.
I certainly would be interested in hearing from anyone who has installed a full-time rearview camera. What type of camera/monitor did they use ? How was installed ? And of course any other suggestions or information would be very much appreciated.

I guess there is a 12v cigarette power let in the left side inside the trunk, maybe you could use it.
I'm thinking of installing a motion detector security camera coz I parked my car in a busy place, so I found a website which has some good information. You could figure what you want from there videos. Its DIY things.
