Default Looking for a Storage Bin Liner

Hello everyone,

I have just purchased my first Lexus (2015 RX 350 F-type) and have been unsuccessfully looking for a liner for the storage compartment underneath the front, center console. I'm not meaning the "arm rest" storage compartment, but the one you access from the driver's or passenger's side of the vehicle, sort-of near your knees (I believe the owner's manual refers to this area as the "Under Tray" storage area.)

I place sunglasses in that bin, but as it is hard plastic, they move around while driving. Does anyone know of a "liner" (preferably felt or carpeted) made to fit?

Thank You for your time!

-Robert

Great post Robert and will be following to see if anyone has a great idea or aftermarket piece. Would be great to have a felt line storage bin with dividers for coins, sunglasses etc...

I know the underneath compartment you are talking about. My wife keeps her sunglasses there, however, she has them in a case so it's not too noisy. For yourself you could use the overhead glasses compartment for yours and there would be no noise.

Maybe go to Home Depot or Lowes and get some drawer liner foam and trim it to fit. You might use some double sided tape to secure it.

novaman, only the early '10 RXs have that overhead console. It was replaced with the Safety Connect button back in August 2010. Other ideas about where to store glasses are here.

I use a thin rubber non skid mesh. You can get sheets of it in a variety of colours and cut it to fit. It is thin enough to lie flat in the undulations and it is surprisingly effective at stopping stuff from sliding around.
