RX350 F-Sport on Autobahn sucks!

To do 120MPH It would take a super high-tech minivan…

And then there’s the Toyota Nanny Van

You are Correct, sir!
EU spec RX350 is limited to 200 KPH / 124MPH:

It's a Toyota Thing
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_domestic_market
"In 1988, JDM cars were limited by voluntary self-restraints among manufacturers to 280 horsepower (PS) (276 hp) and a top speed of 190 km/h (118.1 mph), limits imposed by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) for safety. The horsepower limit was lifted in 2004 but the speed limit of 190 km/h (118.1 mph) remains in effect. Many JDM cars have speedometers that register up to 180 km/h (111.8 mph) (certain Nissans go up to 190 km/h, and the GT-R has a mechanism that removes the speed limiter on a track) but all have speed limiters."

It appears the only reason Toyota/Lexus cars sold in North America are speed limited to 112 MPH/180KPH is because that's a requirement in the JDM and they don't see any reason why you would need to go faster here, prolly cause we don't have speed limits that high and it's easy/cheap to just use the same ECU coding:

I love Lexus reliability but this RX350 F-Sport sucks on the Autobahn. 112mph is all she'll do since the computer shuts her down. I was coming back to my house one afternoon and I had her topped out and a Honda CR-V creeped up on me. I've been passed my minivans too. How embarrassing! It's obvious that this car is not designed for high speed motoring. I don't think I'd want to go much faster than 120mph in this car if it wasn't limited. There is something to be said about German engineering. I think I'll be looking for an Audi Avant to have more fun in on the Autobahn.

Also, I just noticed in photo the OP posted that the trans is in 7th gear.. So I assume there is more to go since the trans is an 8 speed.

112mph and no more.
112mph is all the car will do. It can hit that in 5th gear. I keep it in 7th or 8th gear on the Autobahn. If you keep the car floored in D it will downshift to 5th gear and destroy your gas milage. If you hit a hill in 8th gear going 112mph the car will drop speed due to the lack of torque. The computer will not let the car go past 112mph no matter what gear you are in. In 8th gear at 112mph the engine is at 3,000 RPM, 3,500 RPMs shy of redline. The engine had plenty more but the chassis don't IMHO. It's not designed for high speed driving.

I bought the car about two years ago. When I bought it back in the states I didn't know I would be moving to Germany with the boring Autobahn cruiser. It's almost paid off so I'll keep it and buy a Bahn Burner for fun.

Seriously, are you really concerned about your MPG's while driving at 112?
Not disagreeing with you in regards to high speed (over 100 mph) driving. In one of my other posts I said that while the F-Sport feels stable at high speeds and corners pretty well, I'm not too sure I would want to go too far over triple digit speeds in it..
I'm pretty sure that while designing the RX Lexus wasn't even considering the autobahn, it's not what this vehicle was designed for.. IMO, for what 98% of us need the RX to do, it does very well.

I was over in Germany last year and drove on the AutoBahn. Most of it was posted as a limited speed. In fact only in a few places was the speed unlimited. The automatic speed signs would vary based on traffic density, weather and time of day. A LOT of our driving on the AB was done at 90 kph.

yea i topped at 110 i think on my rx.. as JT4 said its stable, but going triple digits on it is not something youd enjoy doing, i dont know why, but i felt way better topping ES or IS compared to RX
if you want an autobahn car, got for X5M, chip it, tune it, put some intake, exhaust system, and fly my friend, that **** is the bomb ( not the new one tho, new x5m looks way too nice, 2010 wide body mean looking x is what im talking about)
