How to sell your car for the best price?
I haven't had a sell my car for a while so am not familiar with this but I have decided to sell my immaculate 2013 RX350 f-sport with 12K miles. I requested a trade-in at the Lexus dealer I was shopping but they gave me a low-ball offer at the low side of Kelly blue book's value. Thus I think it would need to be a private sale.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would say C-List or E-Bay. Sounds like a nice one. Beware of all the tire kickers and check fraudsters. Last car I sold I had them meet me at the bank and bring cash. That way the bank can run it through the counter for detection. Bank of America is the #1 counterfeited check out there.
Good luck!

Some people use Craigslist, but there are many fraudsters out there too so be careful and pick a neutral meeting place to show the car. I like the earlier suggestion about conducting the transaction at a bank too. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
For what it's worth, we don't put a lot of miles on any of our cars and we have found the dealer will never show us what the car is worth. We had a low mileage Tundra (5 years old) and we turned around and sold it for 4K more than the dealer's offer in just a few days in the local paper.

Craiglist is great for older less expensive cars. I sold two both in a day. Autotrader and Cars.com are two I have used for selling upper end cars. Cars.com will let you advertise free for 30 days. I found they will let you renew free for another 30 days. Be aware however of some weird text. You will have people text you and never call that want to buy your car sight unseen. After the first text they want your email address. I would only reply to someone who calls me.

I've sold a few used cars over the past 10 yrs. Making sure the car is cleaned inside and out goes a long way.
Research asking prices on your particular vehicle.by looking at Craigslist and ebay.
I sold a 2001 Ford Mustang (V6) that I bought for $3400, a year later sold for $3600. But I had new tires and did some preventative maintenance.
A clean, well maintained Lexus will command a premium price.

Cars.com And cargurus.com and...
...THIS site!
Some other things to consider:
1. Lots of good photos inside and out.
2. Have and offer full maintenance history / receipts. You can get dealer records by signing up here https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/home
3. Price correctly. Check KBB, Edmunds TMV, Lexus Certified and search for similar cars for sale online.
4. Both sites will allow you to screen without giving out your true Dox. Use care when you choose to do so.
5. Craigslist prolly a waste of time, but you can always list at other sites first.
6. Get and offer the Carfax for your car.
7. Get the full factory specs for your build from Lexus by emailing request and VIN to Customer_Satisfaction_Inquiries@lexus.com. They reply promptly.

Use Beepi.com. Dealer offered me 17k tradein. I got an offer of $20k from them.
Their offer was close to Private party value in excellent condition. I assume your car is in great condition. They guarantee to sell the car in 30 days or buy from you at offer price. Doesn't hurt to get it inspected from them and get an offer. You will not be disappointed.

Nothing wrong with CL. At the price point of a 2013, you're going to be looking at better purchasers than those that are trying to buy crap. Just make sure to post pictures and be detailed, since a disorderly or lacking post is an automatic turn-off for many buyers.
