if the OP is planning to drive the car into the ground and not worry about depreciation on the trade in, then this might be a good gamble.... haggle the price down even more and it may be a great deal.... if it is just body work but the mechanics are all up to snuff, as long as Lexus honors the warranty, it could be a steal...
i used to be the same where i would immediately always walk away from accident vehicles... i have seen the type of work that body shops can do and some of them can work miracles... my MR2 had an accident on it's record when i bought it but i plan on keeping the car forever so resale isn't an issue for me... if it is just cosmetic and everything drives straight, why wouldn't you consider it? accidents happened every hour...
