Stiff steering

Just bought a 2010 Rx with 75,000 miles
Has new dealer installed dueler tires before I bought it
Steering feels super stiff, and always want to fight me to bring the wheel back to center
It's still perfectly drivable, just annoying.
I was expecting super light steering.
A Google search only recommended different tires and alignment. I don't have $1,000 to guess at tires that might make the steering lighter
Is there anything I can do ? Adjust ? Thanks !

I would check your tire pressures.
I noticed that my RX steering was very sluggish when I had the tire pressure set low(32psi all tires cold) and the steering is now pretty responsive with my tire pressure set at 36psi front and 38 psi rear cold.

How would you describe your steering ? would you say you can steer yours is so light that you can steer it with one finger ?
Or compared to all the cars you've driven, is the RX about in the middle, as far as not the lightest steering, and not the stiffest steering ?
this is also my first time owning a car that is EPS, and not hydruilic.
I guess I'm looking for some confirmation that my RX is "just fine"

I hate heavy or very hard steering unless it is a car that has variable steering that increases the steering weight as the speed increases.
Some may find it too twitchy or light, but me and my wife are used to responsive steering in other cars/suv we owned so the sportiness is just right to us.
You may decide to lower the psi or even raise the psi depending on what is comfortable to you.

I had a very similar issue in my previous 2004 model. See this thread for the solution:

It has electric power steering, there is no power steering pump or fluid. The dealer should check out the steering column, rack and pinion system and associated steering components along with checking the alignment. If you just bought it run back and complain. They should have gone over it and checked all this before delivery, but dealers get sloppy about these things.
