babaganoos, I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the dealer. It's not what we've come to expect as Lexus owners. And please don't let one bad SA ruin it. The service manager should be involved at this point if they aren't already. Give them the opportunity to make it right. I'm not saying let them flatbed the RX. Instead tell them what you want right now. Could be an explanation or nothing at all. But they need to know that so maybe you can get some closure and move on.
And I'm very familiar with not being taken seriously by dealers, especially when trying to get something fixed. But that all changed when I picked up my first RX back in 1998. I've had basically the same SA since. When I go in for service, she reviews everything I request to make sure it's absolutely necessary. She also lets only certain techs work on my RXh. My point is good SAs exist. Unfortunately you didn't get one of them.
Thanks for keeping us posted and I wish you luck in getting a resolution.

babaganoos,
You should seriously consider taking them up on their goodwill offer for a free set of tires. Take it in yourself and get a loaner so you don't have to wait.
Even at 5/32" a tire's ability to handle panic maneuvers in wet conditions can be nasty.
