Seats for a tall guy
Looking at a 15 RX350.... test drove a few, but just typical 15 minute rides.
Reading something in the '16 thread about someone who held out to get some package with seat extensions (which he wanted since he was 'tall' - 6'2"). Wondering if I'll be happy without them (I'm 6'2") and long legs.
Thanks.
PS. Not sure what package has them....

The cushion extender is part of the Luxury Package.
I am not tall - just 5'10", but have long legs (36" inseam) so I don't know how much I can help you with it. I do have the cushion extender in my GS.
I think the extender on my GS is awesome and definitely adds to the comfort. If you can find an RX with the extender, I would tend to favor it. However, I am completely comfortable in our RX without the extender. The extender just makes it better.

I'm 6' 1" and the '13 RX is my wife's so I don't drive it daily but we've taken it on many long trips on the weekend and I have to say I've never felt uncomfortable. Ours doesn't have the seat extenders so I can't say if they help but I've never thought twice about my comfort driving for long periods.

I'm a lanky guy too and found the seats a tad uncomfortable compared to my GX. However, with some adjustments I found the sweet spot and have had no issues. Was holding out for an RX with luxury package for the seat extenders, but that's a super tough find in my area. Never saw one when I was searching and finally saw one for the first time last week. That makes it one in three months. If they are available in your area, definitely try one. I have seat extenders in my BMW and loved the option. Just never seem to use them though. They do make things more comfortable, but it's tougher to get out of the car, so I have to remember to retract them. I end up leaving them alone for the most part. Doubt they will cause entry/exit problems in the RX. Especially when the seat slides back when exiting.

Thanks. In looking for vehicles all over the country, I think I've seen ONE with the luxury package.
Guess I'll soon find out. Put money down on a 2015 and will drive it home, 800 miles, Friday night.

I'm a smaller framed person and hate the seats. There is not enough range of movement in the tilt portion of the lower seat. I think most seats in cars today are not made for larger framed people. I think the seat extender in the luxury package would be a must have but not easy to find when buying used. Just my opinion but the quality of the RX is top notch.

I'm a Famine-Resistant 5'10" male. When selecting my '13 RX, I was disappointed that the seats didn't have the adjustment range of the car it replaced - and was concerned that I wouldn't be comfortable.
I only adjusted the seat a couple times over last week's 1,500 miles of solo driving - and the prior three months' 5,000 miles rolled by with nary a complaint.
A tall friend took it for a test drive and complained that his right knee (recently replaced) was uncomfortable against the center console as he sat manspread.
I have two complaints with my seating:
1) the headrest won't let me sit as upright as I'd like (and sipping coffee while wearing a small-brimmed hat is really annoying - as I need to either turn my head as I tip back, or lean forward in the seat), and
2) I find it hard to enter the car without hitting my head in the doorway.
Other than those, I find that once I've found the right seat angle/position, I go a LONG time before wanting to adjust it - and I find that I arrive at the end of a long day of driving surprisingly fresh.
