Identifying 3RX Options
My wife and I are looking at a variety of options to replace our Forester (long story why -- just assume the thing has to go, although it's working fine), and one of them is a used 3RX 450h.
In the 4LS forum we have this awesome thread about how to identify the various options, but I haven't found anything like that for the 3RX. Is there a thread like that for the 3RX that I've overlooked? If not, can anyone help me how to identify the following options easily from pictures?
- Mark Levinson
- Navigation
- HID Adaptive Headlamps
- Intuitive Park Assist
Thank you for your help!

dal20402, unfortunately we don't have a thread like that. Instead pictures of each option you mentioned are spread out through various threads like this one on the different headlights from the FAQ thread. But even in there, some of the pictures are gone. I can give you Mark Levinson and navigation.

I was having an awful time determining what model we were buying and I found this site a huge help:

Different car, but same idea. See if they have one of yours.

Also, to the OP, if you know the specific VIN, you can e-mail Lexus customer service and they'll send you the installed options.

Thanks all. From looking at a ton of pictures It seems most RX450h's come with the Premium Package and nav but not much else. Not finding many with Mark Levinson, the LED headlights, or some of the other "exotic" options.
Reminds me of shopping for my LS when it was very hard to find Comfort Plus and pretty much impossible to find radar cruise on the early cars.
The Mark Levinson logo below the volume **** is a helpful hint

Yes, plus ML has the extra tab on the stereo screen for DVD.
dal20402, earlier RXs were somewhat better equipped. Finding one with those options usually meant it also had the luxury package with the seat extenders and alcantara leather. I special ordered mine primarily for the sport package and added the other fun stuff-LED headlights, ML, HUD, and pre-collision/dynamic radar cruise control.
On the steering wheel just below the enter switch on the right is the radar cruise control button to change the distance. And above the stalk to turn on cruise control are the buttons for HUD.

Interesting, and this is helpful. I was looking only at post-facelift cars but will have a look at low-mileage pre-facelift ones too. The 4LS is the same way -- it was way easier to find all the goodies on 2007 and 2008 cars than on 2010-12 cars, which is part of why I ended up with a low-mile 2008.

I suggest checking out this awesome thread from Bert to help you understand the differences between the pre-spindle ('10-'12) and spindle grill ('13-'15) RXs. He didn't miss a single detail. RXs with the luxury package will probably have the most options. There's bound to be a few out there. I wish you luck finding a 450h with everything you want.

Great stuff, Anita. I hope we over in 4LS-land are as helpful!
Surprisingly, I found a fully loaded 2013 in good condition near me. Now we just have to decide if that's really the route we want to take. Also considering leasing a full-electric BMW i3.
