Worst experince in a rx 350 ever
I recently traveled to Detroit, MI and decide to rent a rx 350 f sport to drive into the city since i planned buy I soon. So upon take the brand new fsport with only 300 hundred miles and a snow storm i though no better chance to test the truck in extreme conditions in Detroit black ice, snow slush freezing rain. Well After driving the rx350 about 40 miles through snow and rain i noticed a loss of power and then a complete lack of power to a dead truck stuck on the side of the I-96 in a snow storm after calling the rental company and waiting for another f sport they had i figured this was maybe a just a fluke. But upon receiving a second f sport and this time finally reaching the city making to family and letting the vehicle that had a 1000 miles on it the next morning it wouldn't start at all i was done with Lexus and just went with something else which i knew could handle the cold weather in Detroit. Sorry Lexus If you can't survive Detroit weather you wont work for me.

While I agree something wasn't right with the cars, sat too long, who knows? The second one was likely a dead battery. The lot likely jumped it, before delivery. It's not like people rent those things everyday like a Camry or mustang. Anyway, you have all of one post on Club Lexus, so I seriously doubt you've been a Lexus owner or fan for any length of time. Nice try creating an account just to bash and good luck with your Dodge. It'll take far more than one bad severely abused or neglected rental car story to get this forum excited.
Thanks for the heads up on F Sports being rented. We'll have to further scrutinize each purchase. They are already tough to find and I seriously doubt you can rent all that many of them. I just did a search for such rentals nationwide and found two agencies and neither have F Sports. Not saying you didn't rent one.....actually, I am.

Sounds like a better review of the rental company than the RX.
I'm pretty sure you can't draw the conclusion that an RX can't stand up to a Detroit winter based on this experience. Even if there was a legitimate reason for the failures, it's not like these might be common issues, or that no one in the entire world drives RXs in bad weather with no issues at all. There are lots of people in Canada that love their RXs. There are probably tens of thousands of satisfied RX owners in Detroit! It does have an exceptionally high satisfaction rating, you know.
It sounds to me like you either had uncommonly bad luck, you chose a really bad rental company, or you didn't like Lexus before you started.

Stop trolling, its been warm in Detroit for the past month or so. If you really did have a bad experience renting a Lexus RX, you'd have posted about it the next day.
Also, I don't think Lexus sells cars to rental fleets. I worked valet at a 4 diamond hotel back in college, parked a crap ton of rental cars, not a one them was EVER a Lexus(and yes I've seen Benz, BMW, Infiniti, and Acura rentals). Of course that was 6-7 years ago, but I doubt they've changed their policy, especially on a popular model like the RX.
