Trying to pin down the issue to either bearings or cv shaft at this point.
Exactly same on my old RX350. I replaced rotors and pads, but the sound is still there. Have you had this resolved ? 🙃

thank you!

Default Same issue. Single CLICK when I "change direction".

Occurs only once in either direction. It clicks even if I hold down brake pedal with left foot to keep car still and press somewhat hard on gas pedal, but only once.

Pasting video link below from Reddit where I'm reversing and moving forward with my arm holding my phone outside the window looking like an idiot to my neighbors 😭

It is CV shaft. Slack in the rod of it causes this sound.

Would you say I need to act on this to improve it? Like replace the CV axles?

I would not just blindly start to throw expensive parts at your issue. You need to confirm exactly what is making the noise before you take any action.

did you get it fixed? I had the exact same noise except mine was more numerous. Many clicks in a few seconds. Each while starting off or stopping. I removed cv from hub, greased the spline with lithium grease and reinstalled. Just went on short test drive and no ticking. Hope it holds up.

Good morning, I come to you because I have an identical problem: My 2008 rx400h has been emitting a slight clicking/crackling sound for about a year now (but it gets louder with time) during acceleration phases from a standing start or starting at low speed and during stopping phases, from 30 to 40 kmh when stopped, this cracking/clicking gets louder if I brake or accelerate harder. This noise seems to be coming from the front left. I tried, once started, to go into neutral and there I no longer have the clicking sound when braking... I was thinking of a silent block or even a cardan shaft that slams when switching from the regenerative to hydraulic brake? The led/leading elements change. Or maybe there's a box problem... I lifted the vehicle and tested the hanging wheel clearances or on the ground, I found nothing even if the wishbone silentblocks are tired and the stabilizer bar links too, Do you have an idea ? I'm lost I admit... I hope I was clear in my explanations,THANKSPascal

Biscand - You posted in the wrong forum for your 2008 RX400h. You should post this in the 2nd generation forum - (2004 - 2009). Then go the the hybrid sub-forum.

Also advise how many miles are on the vehicle.
Have you ever lubricated the brake caliper slide pins?

FYI - It can be almost impossible to diagnose this stuff online. It may help to post a sound recording, but you have to use the advanced feature. However sometimes you just need a Toyota or hybrid specialist shop to check it out.

Sometimes on aging vehicles it is best to just live with the noise if the vehicle operates okay otherwise. When it gets a lot worse, then maybe have a shop check it out. You can go broke randomly throwing parts in an attempt to cure a suspension or drive train noise when the car could go another 100,000 miles with that noise.
