Default cargo area rear seat release not working

Shortly after my warranty expired, the cargo area rear seat release handle on my 2012 RX350 stopped working. After reviewing this forum, I suspected a broken cable and I subsequently spent an afternoon removing side paneling and the rear seat. To my chagrin, I discovered that a small cable disconnect switch is located under the front edge of the rear seats (one on each side). I simply reengaged the switch and the cargo area rear seat release handle works perfectly. The switch probably became disengaged when struck by a vacuum cleaner during regular cleaning. If your rear seat release handle is not working, I suggest you check the disconnect switch before initiating repair work. PS. I love the RX.

I've had a new release cable in the garage for a year now, still in the bag. Had the same issue, found the same problem, fixed it the same way.
Weekend job & I wanted new parts in hand before I took it apart.
