Need help!! RX350 or RX450H: good deal?
All,
My wife has been waiting for her new car. I wanted either a 2014 RX350 or 2014 RX450H in White Exterior and Parchment.
2014 RX350 - 41K miles - $32.9k - CPO
2014 RX450H - 43k miles - $35.5k - CPO
both before TTL
Here are the build sheets.
Wanting to pull the trigger. How do I negotiate? I am leaning towards the Hybrid.

I'd offer them about 34K for the hybrid. If possible I also recommend the hybrid all wheel drive rather than the 2 wheel drive. It's got more usable power with an additional motor in the back. Not sure how much they'll budge.
Make sure they have good NEW tires, (the forum seems to prefer Michelin, which is my preference also), new brake pads and rotors, new key fobs (if old ones were old), get lower than 2% on financing (if getting a loan) - CPOs get good deals from Lexus or local banks, have them install mud flaps (SUVs should have mud flaps on them) and stuff. If nothing else, have them throw in a clear bra for the bumper.
Also make sure that your NAV system is updated with the latest info download. Sometimes, they forget that. Oh heck, have them throw in some all weather mats too. these things all costs extra. You might as well, ask for these.
finally, if this is the dealer that serviced the car in the past, have them show you the service history screen. and see if there was a persistent complaint on the car........

I was thinking $34k + TTL. I got a loan at 2.15% already waiting , 75 months. I am using the long term to move some student loan debt 6.8%,
I will ask for the brakes, tires, mats, key fobs.
Thank you

Not sure how much this will help you, I paid $35k (plus fees/tax etc) for a 2015 AWD RX 350 with everything yours has except the towing package (and it may have that too, I just don't recall). And, mine had 8500 miles on it when purchased. Given that I realize I got a very good deal, I would look at something considerably lower for a car a year older with 5 times the mileage on it.

That is a great deal for 15 RX350 though.

they can't change it. i was just saying that you may want to look for another car with AWD. and I meant that it has more usable torque from stand still. It's not much of a snow or mud traction help, however. (helps a little....)

New nav data gets released around new model introduction. Latest today will be a year old in few weeks.
When discussing make sure the cost of new data and the labor to install [can be 1 hr or so depending upon the model] is discussed.

Had a 2010 RX350 and two years ago bought a 2015 RX450h that was one year old. We also have a 2013 ES300h, we bought at the same time. We both said would never own anything but a hybrid. Around town her RX350 got around 18-19 mpg. This was not acceptable to us and we now get 29 around town. Plus we love the bamboo accents the hybrid offers. We also ave the white with parchment interior. IMO far superior looking to the new two tone RX's interiors. Great time to buy a hybrid with gas at $2.15 a gallon. You lose bargaining power when it is $4.00 a gallon. Offer them $32,500 for the 450h and be firm. They will accept it.
