Decided on RX, today is the day, AWD vs FWD and other questions
Guys, we have decided on a CPO 2015 Lexus RX assuming Lexus gives us the same value for our trade that Toyota is willing to do.
Our local dealer has 3 cars that are the right color and right trim/options, we're planning to look at those today. One key difference is AWD vs FWD, I've read that the Toyota/Lexus AWD isn't really that good, so even if we moved somewhere snowy which is possible in my line of work, snow tires probably do a lot more for us than AWD? Can't decide how much of a premium to place on AWD?
Also, the EPA website says some 2015 RX350s had an 8 speed automatic transmission, yet that doesn't seem to be the case in the reviews I've found.
Lexus CPO pays for service for the first 30k miles I believe of the CPO program. Which of the Lexus services are the high dollar services?
Finally, can anyone tell me what the Luxury Package has? Everything we're looking at has the Premium pack which includes blind spot monitoring front and rear sonar sensors, etc.
Since I know some folks will ask pricing ranges from 35,7 to 37,9 asking price on these cars, which actually seem reasonably well priced, miles range from 11k to 22k. My goal is to get them to match the trade at Toyota and get them to come down another 2k, I think that's reasonable.
I welcome any thoughts and suggestions, this is going down just after lunch!

AWD is OK for what it is. It is nice to have as it will send power to the rear wheels from a standstill. If you have a heavy foot, it is a must have, as FWD will just spin the wheels.
Personally, I'm considering a 4Runner Limited as the replacement for the RX, as it has a full time AWD and 4WD. And it depreciates at half the rate our RX450h does.
