I'm shopping for an RX350 and I think I've found one with a black interior. I've never had a car with a black interior and I've heard that a window tint can really help keep a black interior cool. Does anyone here have any knowledge of window tints? I've heard ceramic is the best but can be pricey.

Give your local Lexus a call and talk to the tint installer.
I personally would only tint the driver and passenger sides and match up the pre-tinted rears. I would also remain street legal.

Window tints do help a lot with keeping the car interior cooler then without. I've had tints on several different cars. 20% tint on my front windows of my 2001 Chevy Trailblazer(got plenty of tickets for that) and now 50% on my front windows of my 2015 Lexus RX 350. Tint percentage is how much light goes through. So the lower the percentage the darker the tint. Make sure you know your state laws on window tint before putting them on. Since it says you're in VA. 50% tint is the darkest you can go on your two front windows for SUV & Trucks. Here's a link that can give you more information.

Make sure you click the SUV and Trucks tab once you're on the site so that you get the correct information for your vehicle.

Go for the 3M Crystalline. Higher cost, but it's really really really good.
Also if you do decide to go darker than legal you can get an official letter/note from your "primary care doctor" or your optometrist/ophthalmologist" stating you need "darkly" tinted windows. The letter does not need to specifically state a diagnosis because it's nobody else's business. Keep a copy in the glovebox in all of your car's. So if you or anyone driving your car get stopped, just show the LEO the letter. Usually most LEOs are very understanding.
BTW, I roll down both of my front windows when stopped by the LEOs and keep my hands on the steering wheel. This way the LEOs can see what's happening inside the car and my hands.
