Default Another oil/grease leak

Took the RX in for it's 60,000 service and told them I had another leak which I thought was grease from the CVS boot. They replaced it 2 or 3 years ago when it was leaking. They confirmed it was leaking and also found the seal around the timing cover was leaking. Thank goodness both are covered with the 70,000 mile powertrain warranty. Not to happy though with another leak in a luxury vehicle just under 60,000 miles. May start looking for a new vehicle before long.

Good news is we got a 2017 RX loaner. Certainly has a lot more pep than our 2012. Love the dual exhaust but I like our interior much better. I think the navigation display is just way to big and obtrusive.

your transmission oil leaking may have been from first day, it is seepage.
my 2017 RX transmission seepage from first day, and I found out when it is less than 300 miles.
check the Lexus TSB "L-SB-0036-10" for this problem.

Have you done repair yet?

Isn't that something - 5 years ago you thought you had a timing chain cover leak, and now here it is.

True. Of course the leak was very slight and RX never seemed to be low on oil so I was kind of surprised to learn of the new leak.
