Default 2015 Warranty

Does the warranty cover brakes? Only 34,000 miles.

Brakes mechanical problem will be covered, but pads wearing down is standard wear items.

Mechanical problem are like caliper binding which causes partial braking or totally uneven brake pad wear on the same wheel.

If you have decent DIY wrenching capabilities and the requisite jack and jack stands, brakes are not difficult to do at all, nor are they nearly as expensive to do yourself because of how the brake shops capitalize on the "mysteries" around brake work. I paid for brake jobs for years from multiple shops and finally dug in and did my own for the first time about 10 years ago. The job can be a little tedious, requiring specific attention to a few specific details, but is otherwise one of the simplest mechanical jobs to do (outside of changing a battery or starter/alternator). There are tons of Youtube videos for virtually every make and model which are so easy to follow, and only a few situations ever require any special tools.

Since doing my first DIY brake job 10 years ago, I've now done brakes on Fords, VW's, Subarus, Volvos, BMW's, Nissans, and Toyotas, and I haven't seen anything yet which would allow me to ever pay anyone else to do the work unless I was just completely incapacitated or stranded away from home without any tools whatsoever. I've even taught neighbors and friends how to do their own brakes, and they ALWAYS walk away from it with two responses... 1) "WOW That's ALL there is to it?", and that comment is always followed by 2) "I can't believe I've been paying so much money for such a simple task!"
