2012 Rx AWD Shocks and Brakes
Have a few questions...have a 2012 AWD Rx with 70K on it. I need to replace the rear shocks as I was told they were blown as well as brakes all around does anyone have any recommendations for rear shocks as well as brakes?
Thanks!

There are only a few shock & strut choices. OEM is cheapest. Try one of the online discount OEM sources such as www.mylparts.com or www.lexuspartsnow.com
Aftermarket there are KYB, which some state ride smoother than the OEM shocks. They cost a bit more. Also Monroe has shocks and Sachs has recently released shocks and struts for our vehicles. Look at www.rockauto.com
Regarding brakes, I got Raybestos Element 3 pads all around and their rotors, all from rock auto. They are quiet, stop well and have been fine for the last couple of years. Others have liked Power Stop pads from rock auto. The OEM pads are also good if you want to stick with them. Akebono are very similar to or the same as OEM pads.

Just buy KYB shocks. I bought KYB ones for my HiHy, which is RX450H clone, for around $100 each. Amazon. They run $420 each dealer. Mine had Tokico but Toyota does both as OEM - KYB or Tokico.
So I am not sure how KYB is more than OEM dealer.
yeah, here you go:
It should be cakewalk to replace, easy access.
