AFS Message
The AFS Off light is blinking in my 2010 RX350. There is also a message on the dash that says "check your AFS." I went to the menu to try and turn on or off and it does not give me the option. Is there a button somewhere that I'm missing?
I just had the car repaired a couple of weeks ago and had the front bumper and driver-side headlight replaced. The error message came on about a week later. Could it have anything to do with that?
Thanks!

Yes, go back to them. It is a problem with the adaptive front lighting (AFS). That is a part they touched when they replaced the bulb and bumper and they must make it right.
There may also a switch for it somewhere, either under the dash or through the Nav menus. If you Google AFS off Lexus you will learn more. Maybe you turned it off by mistake.

The switch is on the right steering wheel spoke. The up/down toggle generally switches between items
you would like to read (MPG, range, outside temp...) If you press the "Menu" button below the toggle you
will enter into items you would like to change ( AFS, Electronically Controlled Transmission ECT Snow and
Park Assist).
The blinking AFS light is most likely being caused by the height monitoring mechanism on the rear suspension.
When you load the rear and it settles down the light need to dip. It is a pretty rough life back there in salty
winter conditions and the unit fails. Has yours been in TX since new?
