Remote starter
Hi everybody, I owned a 2010 Lexus RX350 few days ago and I am very satisfied with the car. I need help with a question related with the remote starter. I start the car with the remote starter and when I go to the car and open the driver door the motor shuts off. Is that normal? Shouldn’t I be able to open the door and press the star button and the car doesn’t shut off? Thanks in advance.

It's normal ... I believe it's intended to work that way just in case someone else tries to break the windows and drives away. So as soon as the door is opened, the engine shuts off. Without the smart key nearby, the car won't start again. Make sense?
