I have a RX450h 2014 and having a problem with the passenger door lock, it's not working. When I hit lock with my remote it beeps 10 times. Is this beep telling me my motor is out on my passenger door lock?

10 beeps when I open door with keyfob. I know the passanger door is not locking/unloc
2014 RX450h beeps 10 times when I touch the key fob to open the door. Is it because my passenger door lock is not working. The lock will not lock or unlock when I use either the car switch or the key fob.

Most likely either the door lock rod or its nylon lock piece fell off or broke, or the motor is bad. You have to take it apart for inspection. Do some searching as this has been covered, same with instructions on how to take the door panel off. Or take it to a dealer, you may still be under warranty.

As I said in response to your duplicate post that was moved from the 2G forum, it is either the door lock actuator rod, its nylon lock washer piece or the motor died. A 2014 may still be under warranty. You have to take the door panel off to inspect and make a diagnosis. The parts are cheap. Knowing how to replace them is another matter. However most Lexus & Toyota door locks are the same so look on YouTube or search this forum or the ES350 forum as they are famous for failing door locks.

I recently had the similar issue on my 2013, went to the dealer they took my door apart and it turns out i had some water frozen inside which prevented the lock from locking/unlocking by the button on the driver side door or the key fob or by touching the handle to lock, it happened when the temperature went down to about 5-7 degrees F, i went to the car wash few days prior to that so i assume that was the reason behind it, basically a piece of ice stuck there, they warmed my lock up with a heater and thats it, no problems. I only put some WD40 afterwards just to be safe.
